It closed for production in 1983 and was purchased by Sir Ernest Hall leading a consortium, who redeveloped the site into what has become a landmark exemplar for urban regeneration. Housing around 150 business units, Hotels, Art Galleries, The Viaduct Theatre, Restaurants and Coffee Bars.
