Fleetwood is opposite over the river Wyre estuary. The little ferry boat, stolen a few years ago but safely returned, chugs back and forth weather and tides permitting. LS Lowry frequented here and painted ferry boats and of course the people.
A developing series of images looking at river estuaries and how reclamation, development and a shift from heavy commerce to tourism and leisure activities is affecting these unique and major geographic features.
